As you proceed through the checkout you will have the options to design your own artwork online, upload your files (150dpi at 50% full scale with no crop marks and no bleed) or send us your design brief. You will also have the option to see a proof, please note if you select to see a proof, nothing will be printed until the proof is confirmed by yourself. We produce proofs very quickly, usually within a few hours (during the working week). Technical artwork specification
People
At HFE you speak to people not machines and we're always happy to help. We don't have phone menus and nothing is too much trouble, call us and see for yourself. HFE Customer service is simply as good as it gets.
Artwork Quality
If your artwork is too poor or something is wrong we won't print it, we call you to resolve any artwork problems.
Trade
If you are a trade customer, we can supply with no HFE branding, and we can send it direct to your customer with no branded paperwork. You will have an option for this during the checkout, a small surcharge applies for this service.
Fast
Delivery on Banners is next working day if ordered by 11am. If quantities are over 6 then please call or email us to check we can still despatch same day (next day courier).
Cut off
If you go past 11am we may still be able to fit them in for you, call the design team on 01283 576017 to enquire.
Signature
All goods are sent via a courier and will need a signature, someone will need to be at the delivery address to receive them.
Same day
If your banner is needed same day, we can do this if you are able to collect from DE13 9PD at 4pm. This would be a special arrangement and you will need to arrange this with the design team, we will need your artwork by 11am that day.
Banner printers have a feed tolerance of +/-5% although we do calibrate our printers frequently to keep within the +/- 5% levels. It is likely you will have a discrepancy in size, particularly over the longer side, the larger the banner the greater the discrepancy will be, this is down to the feed tolerances on the printers. To put this into context for a 10m long banner it will be anything between 9.5m – 10.5m on a smaller banner of say 5m it will be between 4.75m – 5.25m
Generally speaking banners are not critical to anything greater than 5% and this is considered acceptable with banner printing.
All our PVC banners are 550gsm which means that they are resilient enough to be used outside. To increase the lifetime of your banners we use ‘Rust Proof’ eyelets, heat welded hem and fully solvent inks, meaning that your banner can cope with harsh outside conditions. Though added corner strength is recommended with this product to prolong its outdoor life. At just £8 per banner regardless of banner size, it is a worthwhile addition.
Whether you choose Full Colour or a Mono banner, you can rest assured that you will receive the same high quality product with a high resolution sharp 1440dpi UV stable print.
Colour banners can include unlimited colours, logos or photos and we don’t make any additional charges for artwork. Make the most of your display point and grab the attention of passers-by on the street with an eye catching PVC banner.
If you are looking for an inexpensive option, our Mono banners are 30% Cheaper! Mono Banners consist of simply black text on a white banner, no images or logos. If you are just looking to get a message or promotion across on a tight budget then Mono PVC banners are a more cost effective option.

In order for you to make the most of your PVC banner we offer a range of options when it comes to hanging and/ or displaying your banners. Choose from:
- Hem and Eyelets
- Hem and Cord
- Clean Trim
- Pole Pockets
If you are looking to purchase banners with different artwork printed on them you will have to add your banners to your Shopping Cart separately, selecting the correct design for each individual banner. If, for example, you require two 8ft x 3ft banners with different artwork, you add just one banner to your ‘Shopping Cart’ and then click ‘Continue Shopping’. Then simply go back to the product page (banners for this example) and add one banner again, your ‘Shopping Cart’ will now contain two individual 8ft x 3ft banners, this allows for two artwork requirements. This can be repeated for the mixed quantity you require. If you are looking for multiple of the same banner then simply adjust the quantity when adding to your Shopping Cart.
Delivery is FREE of charge for two or more banners ordered and delivered together to the same UK mainland add. Your banner artworks can be different and so can the sizes, in fact you can order a cheap 4ft x 2ft mono banner to save yourself paying delivery!
